Faith in the City

Faith in the City is a publication published by The Architecture Foundation documenting their 2010 symposium 'Faith in the City: The Mosque in the Contemporary Urban West'. The design drew inspiration from the ways in which religious buildings – the mosque in particular – shape and are shaped by the public life of contemporary Western cities. Wrapped in a contextual timeline, and with a constructive dialogue between key thinkers running throughout the publication, it tackles issues of contemporary vs traditional design, involving the reader in the complex conversation around the place of faith.

The publication can be purchased here.
